Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

This is a single document for everyone. The first part applies to all; after that, each person accepts the part for their role: user or patient, or dispensary.

For everyone

Educational content

Trico Terpenes Finder offers educational information about terpenes and products. It is not medical advice, gives no dosing and promises no therapeutic outcome. Discuss any decision with your physician.

Age

To use the app you must meet the minimum legal age for medical cannabis where you live: 18 or 21, depending on the state or country.

We do not sell products

The app does not sell or reserve products: it has no shopping cart, takes no orders and processes no product payments. Purchase and availability are confirmed directly with each dispensary.

Where it works

The app is only available where the use of medical cannabis is legal and permitted, and only shows dispensaries with a current licence there. The app uses geolocation to activate only in those places, and the policy adapts to the particular rules of each state where it operates.

Where it is stored

In Supabase, our database provider, on servers in the United States. We do not sell or share information with advertisers, insurers or other companies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by writing to support@cismepr.com. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed after 30 days.

If you are a user or patient

What we keep

Your email, the account type, the date and version on which you accepted this document and, if you make them, your ratings of the products you bought. We do not ask for your name, diagnosis, patient card or any medical information. Your phone keeps your language and, if you browse the guide without an account, the date you accepted.

Your ratings

After buying and using a product you can rate, from 1 to 5, whether it gave you the effect you were looking for. We keep the effect you looked for, the product, its main terpenes, its THC % (which sets the intensity of the effect), your rating and the date. That builds your list "THC and terpenes that work for me".

Your authorisation

By accepting, you authorise your ratings to be used, anonymously or under a pseudonym that does not reveal who you are, to refine the app's educational recommendations of terpenes and products and for aggregated analysis. They are never sold.

Your information is yours

You come to the app directly, not through a dispensary, and you are the one who consents about your information: the effect you look for, your ratings, your history and your identity. The app's administration looks after it. The dispensary neither authorises nor consents to anything about your data, because it does not belong to it.

Who sees your information

The app's administration looks after your information. The dispensary where you buy does not see your identity, your searches or your ratings, even when the product was bought there: it only receives aggregated, anonymous figures about its own products, and only once at least 5 people have rated a product.

Notifications

Notifications are optional: you can use the app without turning them on. If you turn them on, you authorise receiving notices from participating dispensaries about new products, news, offers and prices. They are only sent to registered patients who accepted them, never as advertising to the public. You accept them fully aware that you can turn them off at any time, in the app or in your phone's settings. Notifications never include your health data or your ratings.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your subscription whenever you want. Once cancelled you are not charged again and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid; the terpene guide stays free. If you paid through Apple or Google, you cancel from your Apple or Google account. Cancelling the subscription does not delete your account; if you also want to delete it, your data is permanently removed after 30 days.

Intensity and tolerance

Your history may show that a product that worked for you has been losing effect, which can happen with tolerance and does not mean the product is bad. It may also warn you when the THC % of a product points to a high-intensity effect. These are educational notices: the app gives no dosing and no treatment changes. Discuss any adjustment with your physician.

If you are a dispensary

Current licence

Whoever registers the dispensary confirms that they represent it and that it holds a current licence to operate in its state. The licence, with the location's physical address, is uploaded once and the app's administration validates it before activating the account.

Accurate products and COAs

The dispensary is responsible for its products and certificates of analysis (COA) being real, matching the lot it sells and up to date, and for withdrawing whatever it no longer has. A COA may be read with artificial intelligence to extract its data; it holds no patient information.

Payment and activation

The licence is validated first; then the subscription is activated. The account stays active with the basic plan, USD 79.99 a month or USD 839.99 a year per location, or with the plan with messages, USD 99.99 a month or USD 999.99 a year per location (16.7% off), which includes up to 40 push messages a week to patients who accepted them (not available in Florida). The annual plan is non-refundable, even if the dispensary leaves early. Depending on the ratings of its products in a month, a location, on either plan, is Silver (50 or more) or Gold (100 or more) the next month: a badge and a recognition; if it also has the plan with messages, Gold gives it 60 messages a week instead of 40. The price does not change. Final prices, tax included. If a payment fails there are 5 days of grace; after that the account is deactivated automatically and its products stop being shown until it is paid.

Patients' data

Patients come to the app directly, not through the dispensary, and their information belongs to them: the dispensary neither authorises, consents to nor receives it, even when the product was bought there. The dispensary only consents to its own business terms and only receives aggregated, anonymous metrics about its own products (how many searches and visits they had, which terpenes in its inventory were searched most, and average effectiveness once at least 5 patients have rated a product), never individual data or another dispensary's data.

The rule

The patient provides and consents to their data; the app's administration looks after it; the dispensary only sees its own aggregated, anonymous share and only consents to its business terms.

Promotions

With the promotions plan, the dispensary sends its notifications directly from its panel, without prior review by the administration, and they only reach registered patients who accepted them. The dispensary is responsible for their content: it must follow its state's rules, cannot make therapeutic promises, cannot target minors or include anyone's health data, and cannot publish that content on social media or other channels open to the public. Push promotions are not available in Florida for now.
